Overview of entrance requirements

Free

No entrance pass required

An entrance pass is not required to access Casa Grande Ruins National Monument.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

Entrance to Casa Grande Ruins National Monument is free.

Casa Grande Ruins National Monument does not charge a fee to enter the monument. Because the park is fee free, Annual and Senior passes are not available for visitors to purchase at this park. Follow this link for information about how to obtain the America the Beautiful Interagency Passes.

The monument still offers the free passes listed below.

At parks that do charge a fee, the entrance fee-free days for 2024 will be:

• January 15 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

• April 20 – First Day of National Park Week 
• June 19 – Juneteenth
• August 4 – Great American Outdoors Day
• September 28 – National Public Lands Day
• November 11 – Veterans Day

 

Access Pass

• Access Pass

  (Free lifetime pass) is for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. Documentation is required to obtain the pass. Pass admits the pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas. At per vehicle fee areas, the pass admits the pass holder(s) and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle. The pass owner must have signed the pass and will often be asked to present a drivers license or other government identification with a matching signature when using the pass, unless the pass owner is a minor child. The pass owner must be present, the pass is not transferrable and not valid without the presence of the pass owner.

 

The 2022 Interagency Annual Military Pass and Lifetime Veteran Pass

  Cost: Free annual pass

  Available for:

  • Current US military members and their dependents in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force, as well as Reserve and National Guard members
  • US military veterans
  • Gold Star Family members

How to obtain:

• In person: Find a location to purchase this pass at a federal recreation site.

• Online: Order this free pass from the USGS Store.

• Please check requirements before arriving, such as showing a Common Access Card (CAC) or Military ID (Form 1173) or exchanging a Gold Star Voucher.

The 2022 Interagency Volunteer Pass

• Volunteer Pass

  (Free) This pass is for volunteers acquiring 250 service hours on a cumulative basis during a twelve month period. It provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee for a year, beginning from the date of award. Pass admits the pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas. At per vehicle fee areas, the pass admits the pass holder(s) and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle. The pass owner must have signed the pass and will be asked to present a drivers license or other government identification with a matching signature when using the pass.The pass owner must be present, the pass is not transferrable and not valid without the presence of the pass owner.

The September 1, 2022 - August 31, 2023 - 4th Grade Pass

• Every Kid Outdoors Pass

  (Free) Available to U.S. 4th graders (including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age) with a valid Every Kid Outdoors paper voucher, the pass is valid from September to August of their 4th grade year. The pass covers the student and 3 adults of their choice where entry fees are collected per person. It covers everyone in the private vehicle with the student where entry fees are collected by vehicle. Student must visit www.everykidoutdoors.gov to earn and print their pass before their park visit. The pass owner must print or sign their name on the pass and must be present when the pass is to be used for entry.

 

Reservations

Generally, reservations are not needed or accepted for family visits to the park. Visitors may guide themselves through the area at their own pace while reading wayside panels that explain features and history. Guided tours, when available, are first come first served. Visitors are not required to remain on a guided tour in order to see the main features of the park. Special events or guided tours of areas not normally open to the public will require reservations, however. Advanced reservations for special events can be made in person or by telephone. Reservations require speaking with a park ranger- voice mail, email, or other methods will not be accepted. The park telephone number is [phone].
