Hours of Operation

Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham is open daily from 9 AM to 4:30 PM (5 PM in summer). It is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Province Lands Visitor Center in Provincetown is open daily, May 1 through October 31, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Parking lots are open from 6 AM to midnight daily.

Seashore headquarters in Wellfleet (business offices only) is open Mondays through Fridays, excluding holidays, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM

Beaches, walking trails, biking trails, and roads remain open throughout the year, but may experience brief closures due to winter weather.

Did You Know?
In 1959, Massachusetts Senators John F. Kennedy and Leverett Saltonstall introduced the legislation that led to the creation of Cape Cod National Seashore. Two years later, in 1961, then-President John F. Kennedy signed into law Public Law 87-126 which authorized Cape Cod National Seashore.
