Nauset Bike Trail partial closure in effect
The Nauset Bike Trail between Salt Pond Visitor Center and Tomahawk Trail will be closed from October 30 to mid-December for rehabilitation. No bike or pedestrian access will be allowed during this time.

May 12 Meeting Scheduled for Cape Cod National Seashore Advisory Commission Dune Shack Subcommittee

Cape Cod National Seashore Superintendent George Price has announced that the next meeting of the Dune Shack Subcommittee of the Cape Cod National Seashore Advisory Commission will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies, 5 Holway Avenue, Provincetown.
The subcommittee’s task is to develop a set of recommendations to the Cape Cod National Seashore’s Advisory Commission on the establishment of a Dune Shack District Preservation and Use Plan/Environmental Assessment. The dune shack historic district is located in the national seashore along the backshore of Provincetown and Truro. A short public comment period will be provided.

Did You Know?
The Old Harbor Life-Saving Station in Provincetown, MA is one of the few surviving, unaltered life-saving stations left in the country. The station was built in 1898 and is open in the summer months with a display of rescue equipment, and NPS staff re-enact the historic Breeches Buoy rescue drill.
