Self Guided
 

Self-guided tours are available daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All exhibits are designed to be self-guided. Students may explore them on their own or with a teacher. 

Please note that children (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by a chaperone. Castle Clinton National Monument requires one chaperone every ten children. Students are required to remain with their chaperones at all times.

Did You Know?
Although built to protect New York Harbor, Castle Clinton never fired a shot for defense. The cannons at the battery were only fired in training and celebration.
