    Due to the extreme dry weather event and in concert with county burn bans, Buffalo National River is issuing restrictions on the use of fires and smoking within the park. Fires are permitted in fire grates and grills only.

From its beginning as a drop of rain until the time the water flows from the mouth of the Buffalo River, water hydrates, cuts, creates, moves, and maintains the natural wonders that makes the Buffalo National River one of the nation's greatest natural resources.
