Planning and Legistation:
WHO WE ARE:
The Planning and Legislation Group provides planning, design, and legislative
help to parks and partners in the New England, New Jersey and New York.
We have a core staff in Boston, and a field office in Syracuse. We
also manage several contracts and agreements so that we can provide specialized services
beyond the capacity of our in-house staff. Our prime contractors are Heritage Partners
Inc.: ICON Designs; and SAIC. These firms offer urban design, landscape architecture,
partnership building, graphic presentation, interpretive planning, and other expertise
helpful to parks and heritage areas. Current inter-agency agreements include: Volpe
Transportation Center, U.S. Department of Transportation; Library of Congress, Center for
American Folklife; State University of New York at Syracuse, College of Environmental
Science and Forestry; U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
