A critical problem in the governance of the Boston Harbor Islands national park area is how to more fully and systematically engage the scientific community in shaping the future of the islands. The integration of science into stakeholder decision making can produce a better future for the Boston Harbor Islands and for the generations who will use and enjoy its resource.
