The units include everything necessary to present the curriculum to your class including subject areas, grade levels, goals, themes, and reflections. Lesson Plans & Teacher Guides help teachers incorporate the islands into numerous disciplines through collaborative inquiry. Education Themes are useful for seeing how the islands can enhance the classroom experience.

Did You Know?
Boston Light Station, part of Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area, is visited every year by the Flying Santa, a long-time New England tradition started by William Wincapaw in 1929. The Flying Santa delivers food, toys, and other necessities to lighthouses across New England.
