No admission fees are charged to visit the Heritage Corridor or to attend most of the regular programs. However, many of our partner non-profit historical and environment sites do charge admission or accept donations for special events and programs. The classic American Diner is another Blackstone Valley innovation. In 1872, Walter Scott began selling food from a horse drawn covered wagon in Providence, RI. In 1887, the first diner manufacturer opened in Worcester, MA.
