Big Thicket National Preserve To Issue Hunting Permits at Visitor Center
Big Thicket National Preserve Superintendent Todd Brindle announced today that free hunting permits for the 2009-10 fall hunting season will be issued at the Preserve Visitor Center from July 1, 2009, through February 28, 2010.

The Conservation Fund joined the east Texas community and a host of public and private partners on April 15, 2009 to celebrate and announce the donation of 6,600 acres of bottomland hardwood forest and cypress-tupelo wetland to the National Park Service as part of Big Thicket National Preserve.
