This is a fun way for our young visitors to learn about natural world of Big Thicket National Preserve. Just ask the ranger at the Visitor Center for a free Junior Ranger Guidebook, then complete the activities to earn a certificate and a Junior Ranger badge.

Oil and gas exploration and extraction are permitted in Big Thicket National Preserve.  These activities are regulated and monitored by the National Park Service.
