A program about mysterious legends and stories of the Cumberland Plateau will take place at 7:00 p.m. (EDT) on Saturday, July 20, at the Bandy Creek campfire circle at Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area.  Visitors will learn how stories get started and hear legends that take place on or near the land that became the Big South Fork.  Participants will also have the opportunity to tell a favorite story.

The campfire circle can be found by entering Bandy Creek Campground and turning left toward Area A.  Across the road from the swimming pool parking lot, a trail leads to the campfire circle.  In case of inclement weather, the program will be held in the Interpretation and Education Building located beside the Bandy Creek Visitor Center.

For more information, please call the Bandy Creek Visitor Center at (423) 286-7275.
