Maintenance: Volunteer Position Descriptions

Specialized Skills: The park is always in need of volunteers with specialized experience to work on a various back log of maintenance projects in the park. These skills could include: plumbing, painting, carpentry, boat repairs, landscaping, electrical work, and more. This would be a flexible position. Apply

Grounds Keeper: Hundreds of people visit the park’s museum, picnic grounds, boardwalks, and fishing areas each day. Help the park by volunteering with the daily maintenance and clean-up of these facilities. Apply

Tunicates, or sea squirts, live on the roots of the red mangrove tree. These simple animals survive by filtering plankton out of seawater, and hold promise as the source of potent drugs used to fight tumors. Watch for them when snorkeling along Biscayne National Park's mangrove-fringed shoreline.
