HOMESTEAD, FLORIDA – Biscayne National Park is looking for volunteers to assist park visitors at the beautiful Dante Fascell Visitor Center. Volunteers greet and interact with visitors from all over the world.

The Dante Fascell Visitor Center overlooks scenic Biscayne Bay. Volunteers will be stationed here, alongside park rangers, to create memorable experiences for visitors of all ages. The park is looking for those willing and able to volunteer for at least eighty hours, including a minimum of four hours per week.

Park volunteers are students gaining valuable career experience, retirees finding ways to give back to their community, or anyone looking to expand their knowledge and broaden their horizons. Volunteers provide an invaluable service to national parks across the country. Last year, nearly a quarter of a million national park volunteers donated close to seven million hours of their time to ensure that special places like Biscayne National Park are preserved and protected for future generations.

For an on-line volunteer application, or for more information about Biscayne National Park and volunteering opportunities, please visit the park website at www.nps.gov/bisc. Follow the park on Facebook at www.facebook.com/biscaynenps, or Twitter at www.twitter.com/biscaynenps.
