Big Hole's Visitor Center was built in 1968 and is currently closed for major repairs. We have opened a temporary Visitor Center in our housing area and almost everything that was in old building has been moved to our temporary facility. Do not let the construction fool you, we are open for business.

Did You Know?
Trails at Bear Paw Battlefield display metal stakes that mark important tipi, shelter pit, and rifle pit sites. These sites from the battle were designated by Nez Perce warriors who fought in 1877 and returned over 50 years later to preserve their history.
