Presidents' Day, Fee Free Weekend at Bighorn Canyon

Looking for something fun to do this weekend with your sweetheart?  How about visiting Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area? Plan a hike with friends. Explore the bark on a cottonwood tree. Enjoy the silence on the trail.

In a national press release on December 19, 2013, National Park Service Director Jonathan B. Javis announced nine free admission days to America's National Parks. Make a plan to visit one. This weekend, February 15 – 17, 2014 is the second of those free admission days.

The following are the remaining 2014 entrance fee-free days:

  • April 19-20: National Park Week's opening weekend
  • August 25: National Park Service's 98th birthday
  • September 27: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day

We live in an amazing area and have too many outdoor resources to miss. Take your family, enjoy them and have a great weekend.
