How to Get There
Via the Old Maverick Road 6.6 miles from the south end and 6.3 miles from the north end. The access road is 0.2 miles in length.

Usual Road Conditions
The Old Maverick Road and access road conditions vary greatly according to rainfall and use patterns. The road is open to all vehicles most of the year, but is frequently washboard. Ask a Park Ranger for the latest road conditions.

Secure belongings when away from the site.

Remarks
This campsite is not recommended when heavy rainfall is threatening. Rainfall may quickly eliminate access into and out of this campsite.

The western end of the Chimneys Trail is located at this campsite.

A backcountry use permit is required (available at visitor centers). Campers are responsible for regulations listed on the permit. Camping is in designated sites for minimal impact on the surrounding vegetation.
