Reservations may be made at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Big Bend National Park cannot make reservations.
 

Campground Reservations
Limited campsites at Rio Grande Village and Chisos Basin campgrounds are reservable November 15-April 15. Reservations may be made up to 180 days in advance. Reservations are not accepted less than four days in advance. Reservations are not taken between mid-April and mid-November as campgrounds rarely fill during this time of year.

 

Group Campground Reservations
Reservations for group sites at Rio Grande Village, Chisos Basin, and Cottonwood campgrounds may be made year-round, up to 360 days in advance. Reservations are not accepted less than four days in advance. Group sites cannot be used without prior reservation.

Toll Mountain

Toll Mountain, 7415' (2260m), a prominent part of the Chisos Basin, is named for Roger Toll, an early Superintendent of Yellowstone National Park. During winters, he evaluated proposed park sites. It was in this role, leaving the Big Bend in 1936, that he was killed in a car accident. More...
