How to Donate

Donations are received by the park and used to purchase materials, supplies, clothing, tools and accoutrements for the living history program. Donations can be made by check made out the National Park Service and mailed to: National Park Service, Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site, State Highway 194 E., La Junta, Co 81050. You will receive a letter of confirmation by mail.

One of the most educated and well traveled men at Bent’s Fort was a humble hunter named Jean Baptiste Charbonneau.  This highly regarded Bent employee started out life as the infant son of  Sacajawea and accompanied his mother on the famous Lewis and Clark expedition.
