The sales outlet at Bent's Old Fort is managed by Western National Parks Association, a non-profit association with sales areas at 52 National Park units. Money from WNPA goes towards purchasing pamphlets, brochures, materials and supplies for the interpretive program.
Bent's Old Fort Historical Association is a long-standing supporter of the living history programs. One of the most educated and well traveled men at Bent’s Fort was a humble hunter named Jean Baptiste Charbonneau. This highly regarded Bent employee started out life as the infant son of Sacajawea and accompanied his mother on the famous Lewis and Clark expedition.
