The traveling trunk serves as a mini-museum helping bring history alive in the classroom. The trunk contains a variety of hands-on objects, books, videos, and a resource guide (for a complete list of all the contents, please refer to the traveling trunk inventory sheet). The trunk is designed for primarily for 4th-6th grade classes within theSanta Fe Trailregion includingColorado,Kansas,Missouri,New Mexico, andOklahoma. Lessons, activities, and objects relate to the cultures and lifestyles of the 1840’sSanta Fe Trailpeople.
