The visitor center is just one of many buildings in Bandelier built by the CCC.

Tours of Bandelier's Historic CCC District

Join a ranger and learn about the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) and their work at Bandelier. Saturdays, May 10th and May 17 at 2:00 PM. Walks last about 1.5 hours and meet in front of the visitor center. No reservations are required and there is no special fee.

The Santa Fe Raptor Center brings an assortment raptors that have been injured and can not be released to the wild. Visitors get a chance to see these interesting birds up-close and personal.

3rd Annual Fall Fiesta
September 28, 2008

Held near the Bandelier Visitor Center, Fall Fiesta includes craft demonstrations, traditional dances, bread-baking in the park horno, wildlife demonstrations, and lots and lots of fun. No special reservations required. The $12 park entrance fee is the same as always. Mark it on your calendar and make plans to attend.

Upper Falls  

Did You Know?
Frijoles Creek drops approximately 80 feet over the Upper Falls. The falls occur where the waters of Frijoles Creek hit the more resistant, dense basalt rock from the neck of an ancient volcano.
