Nightwalks are presented once a week (on Wednesdays for summer 2011) between Memorial Day and Labor Day, full-moon or not.

Nightwalks are special evening interpretive programs offered once a week during the summer starting Memorial Day weekend and ending Labor Day weekend (Wednesdays for summer 2012). This program is also offered twice in the week between Christmas and New Year's (dates not set at this time). Participants are required to be silent during the one hour walk that allows visitors to step back in time. This walk is not recommended for children or others who can not participate without talking or whispering.  There is a charge for this program ($6/adult and $3/child or senior with pass) and reservations are required (call 505-672-3861 x 517 during business hours).

Upper Falls

Did You Know?
Frijoles Creek drops approximately 80 feet over the Upper Falls. The falls occur where the waters of Frijoles Creek hit the more resistant, dense basalt rock from the neck of an ancient volcano.
