1. Give the history of one Indian tribe, group or nation.

2d. Visit a museum to see Indian artifacts

3b. Make three authentic food items

4e. Learn an Indian story of at least 300 words and tell the story to a group of Scouts

4f. Write about eight things adopted by others from American Indians.

4g. Learn 25 Indian place names.

Available Resources

There are six Pueblos affiliated with Bandelier. They are the direct descendants of the Ancestral Pubelo People who lived in Bandelier. They include: San Ildefonso, Santa Clara, Cochiti, Santo Domingo, San Felipe and Zuni. Visit their websites for more information. You can also learn more about the Ancestral Pueblo People by reading our Main Loop Trail Guide.

The park’s Visitor Center has a museum with many artifacts on display. There is also a bookstore in the Center with numerous books on Native American cultures. These two resources should satisfy the above requirements.
