Available Resources

Bandelier has numerous camping and hiking opportunities. Cooking merit badge requirements can readily be completed in the monument. Backcountry permits are available at the Visitor Center and are necessary for overnight camping. There is no cost for permits.

Tyuonyi Pueblo  

Did You Know?
It is estimated that Tyuonyi Pueblo had 400 rooms but only 100 people lived there. Many of the rooms were used mostly for storage of food and pens for turkeys.
