Views of the National Parks (Views) is a multimedia education program that presents stories of the natural, historical, and cultural wonders associated with national parks. Views includes a Badlands Virtual Experience. Your classroom’s journey through this virtual experience will teach you about the past and present of Badlands National Park. See life as it is today, and learn how paleontologists use scientific information to understand what life was like in the distant past. Did You Know?
Early motorists along the Badlands Loop Road traveled through tunnels carved into the formations. Since the road’s layout defied engineering logic by being based on scenery rather than stability, the road is constantly shifting. Though the tunnels are long gone, the sense of adventure remains.
