Badlands In Your Classroom Education Outreach Program

Enhance your K-12 science curriculum by inviting a Badlands National Park guest speaker to your classroom. This program is offered, free of charge, to schools within 80 miles of Interior, South Dakota. Programs are offered in the fall and spring as staff is available. Contact the park’s Education Specialist for more information about program availability.

Not within 80 miles? Check out our distance learning opportunities. A guest speaker can visit your classroom using video conferencing technology.

Did You Know?
Badlands National Park established a partnership in 1976 with the Oglala Sioux Tribe, sharing lands, specifically the South Unit, and splitting entrance fees. 50% of the fees collected in the park are transferred to the tribe for resource management and recreation projects.
