Arkansas Post Trailblazers 9:00 AM Participants will work to earn the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award by participating in physical activity 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Activity can be done at the park or at home. The program will begin with an Orientation on Monday, July 9th inside the Visitor Center. Every Monday in July will be Assessment Day, where participants can come and record their weekly activity (can be done at the park or at home). An awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 16th. A great activity for the whole family. Trails in the park are stroller, bike, and wheelchair friendly. more...

Kids` Nature Photography Workshop - Grades 2-5 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Students will learn basic techniques for taking outdoor digital photographs and will capture nature in action at Arkansas Post. Students will create a frame for their picture. At the end of the day, each student will receive a copy of their best picture to take home with them and their best photograph will remain on display inside the Visitor Center for the summer! Bring your own digital camera. If you do not own a digital camera, you can reserve to borrow one at registration. Bring a sack lunch. Kids 12 and under must be accompanbied by an adult.
