The Arlington House bookstore is in the west end of the north slave quarters behind the house.

The Arlington House bookstore is in the center of the south slave quarters.

The Arlington House bookstore is located in the center of the south slave quarters. The bookstore is operated by Eastern National, a partner of the National Park Service that sells books and other educational materials and operates many other bookstores at national park sites throughout the country. Proceeds from sales support Arlington House and other National Parks. Another store is located in the Arlington National Cemetery visitor center.

Robert E. Lee's bedchamber

Robert E. Lee made his decision to resign from the US Army in his bedchamber on the second floor of Arlington House. Lee wrote his resignation letter the night of April 20, 1861, and left two days later, never to return.
