This trail climbs to a plateau near the base of The Watchman, an impressive crag
looming over the southern portion of Zion Canyon. The trail's end viewpoint offers
outstanding views of the West Temple, the Towers of the Virgin, and the town of
Springdale. The trail passes through spring seepage/riparian areas that nurture a variety
of plants and attract wildlife; be alert for birds.
TRAILHEAD: At the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, across the street from
the shuttle stop.
Caution: Be careful near the cliff edge. Supervise children
closely. Trail may be muddy and slippery after a saturating rain or winter snow. |
