Merced River Plan (2000)

Revised Merced River Plan/SEIS
Merced Wild and Scenic River Revised Comprehensive Management Plan Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement

From January 14 through March 22, 2005, the National Park Service held a public review period for the Draft Revised Merced River Plan/SEIS. Interested groups and individuals were invited to submit written comments regarding the plan's revision. In particular, the public was asked to comment on two issues that were addressed in the plan's action alternatives: 1) the reassessment of the river boundary in the El Portal Administrative Site, and 2) the establishment of a user capacity program for the entire 81-miles of the river corridor in Yosemite National Park.

The park received over 140 letters, faxes, and emails. A number of people also provided verbal testimony at public meetings throughout the state. Those comments are presented here with names and addresses blacked out to maintain privacy.

The "Responses to Public Comments" report will be presented in as an appendix in the Final Revised Merced River Plan/SEIS, to be released in late June.

The letters, faxes, and emails are available in 10 Adobe PDF files.
