You may experience one or two delays entering and leaving Yosemite Valley every night due to construction.

Seasonal Information

  • Rivers & Waterfalls: Yosemite, Vernal, Nevada, and Bridalveil Falls have relatively low flows, more typical of August.
  • Bears: Bears are awake and getting food from people (and their cars): be sure to store your food properly!
  • Fire: Prescribed fires may occur this summer. More...
  • Wildflowers: The higher elevation meadows along the Glacier Point and Tioga Roads are in bloom. Wildflowers are still visible in Yosemite Valley, as well. 
 

Lodging & Other Concessions

Yosemite Lodge, Curry Village, Housekeeping Camp, and the The Ahwahnee are open in Yosemite Valley. Wawona Hotel is open. Tuolumne Meadows and White Wolf Lodges are open.

Reservations are available up to 366 days in advance. Visit DNC Parks & Resorts' website for more information.


Campgrounds

  • Yosemite Valley: Upper, Lower, and North Pines Campgrounds are open; reservations are required. Camp 4 is open on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Outside Yosemite Valley: Hodgdon Meadow and Wawona Campgrounds are open; reservations are required. Tuolumne Meadows Campground(50% first-come, first-served), White Wolf, Yosemite Creek, Crane Flat, Tamarack Flat, Porcupine Flat, and Bridalveil Creek Campgrounds are also open on a first-come, first-served basis.

Estimated opening and closing dates in 2008 for all campgrounds are available.

Reservations are available up to five months in advance.

 

 
 

All park trails are open:

  • The Half Dome cables are up. They usually remain up, conditions permitting, through Columbus Day (October 13 this year). (Learn more about the Half Dome hike.)
