CRANE FLAT SERVICE STATION TEMPORARY CLOSURE

September 5, 1997

The Crane Flat Chevron Station and General Store in Yosemite National Park will be closed from September 15 through September 25, 1997. The closure is necessary to complete a station upgrade project.

During this closure, gasoline will be available at the Yosemite Lodge Chevron Station located in Yosemite Valley, west of the park on Highway 120 in Groveland, and east of the park on Highway 120 at the Tioga Pass Resort and in Lee Vining. Diesel fuel will be available in Groveland, Lee Vining and Mariposa.

The Wawona Chevron Station recently reopened after completion of a storage tank replacement project. It now carries diesel fuel. The El Portal Chevron Station is open. The Tuolumne Meadows Chevron Station remains closed due to mandatory replacement of the underground storage tanks. The Yosemite Valley Chevron Station will permanently close October 31. This service station will be removed as part of the reconstruction of the flood damaged Yosemite Lodge area.
