Yosemite Valley There are several areas where groups can picnic in Yosemite Valley. Ask at any entrance station or visitor information desk for specific directions. |
Wawona There are picnic tables and grills next to the Wawona Store and the Pioneer Yosemite History Center. Restrooms and water are nearby at the end of the parking lot. Buses can park in the dirt lot across the highway from the Wawona store. The south fork of the Merced River is next to the picnic area (see Wawona map). |
Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias Approximately one mile up the paved road to the Mariposa Grove is a small picnic area with picnic tables, grills, and restrooms. Restrooms and water are also available at the parking lot for the Mariposa Grove. |
Glacier Point Road Summit Meadow picnic area and Glacier Point (water nearby) are available during late spring, summer, and early fall. Bus parking is available at both locations. Picnic tables and restrooms are available. There is no running water (see the Glacier Point Road map). |
Tuolumne Meadows Available during late spring, summer, and early fall, these areas have picnic tables and restrooms, but no water. They include Lembert Dome parking area in Tuolumne Meadows (no bus parking, but drop-off and pick-up is allowed) and Tenaya Lake (some grills, bus parking allowed). During June the area is often wet and mosquitoes can be common in this high elevation area. During July and August both areas are heavily visited so bus parking may be difficult (see Tuolumne map). |

Glacier Point There is no designated picnic area at Glacier Point. |
