An Elk is Born

Becky Wyman (Yellowstone Center for Resources staff), took these photos of an elk giving birth on May 28, 2004. The staff at YCR got the word that the elk was birthing within sight of the road in the Gardiner River Canyon. At about 9:30 a.m. several staff members went down to observe and photograph the event.
