Snow Crews on the Job

A plow and a blower lead a snow crew.

Snow removal crews have been busy clearing roads for upcoming spring travel. At the end of March, they were reporting clear, sunny and warm conditions with snow depths ranging from 3.5 to 5 feet and up to three inches of ice. Right now, many of the roads are only open to administrative travel. For public road opening and closing dates, see the Seasonal Road Opening and Closing Schedule. Click photos to see larger images.
