Great horned owlet perched in a cottonwood tree
 

Great horned owlets that were hatched and raised in a spruce tree in Fort Yellowstone have now fledged and can be seen perched in trees around the fort. The owlet in the photo above is puffing itself up in an effort to look big and bad.
