Bison and Cranes in Yellowstone

On Sunday, April 25, Tom Cawley (Webmaster) headed south with the intention of shooting some video of bison calves. As he drove through A pair of sandhill cranes feed near Swan Lake Flat.Swan Lake Flat, he noticed two sandhill cranes feeding in the flooded flat. They're likely to nest there a little later in the year. Upon reaching Madison Junction he turned west toward West Yellowstone. In the first few pulloffs, he found some very young bison calves to shoot. They are very likely less than three days old. As you'll see in the video they spent most of their time snoozing and getting tongue baths.
