  Fort Yellowstone From
in Front of the Post Exchange

When the panorama fills the black box, place your mouse cursor
on the picture, hold the mouse button down, and drag.

The arched window above the front door and double-pillar columns give the Post Exchange (also referred to as the Canteen) one of the most striking facades in the fort. It served as a general store, barber shop, gymnasium and billiard room. Pan to the right, using your mouse, to see the following fort buildings:

•Troops' Barracks

•Officers' Row (married officers' duplexes)

•Field Officer's Quarters (first stone building)

•Captains' Quarters (second stone building is a duplex)

•Bachelor Officers' Quarters (today it is Albright Visitor Center)

•Double-Cavalry Barracks (large stone building next to the Canteen)

Experiment with the "Zoom" buttons at the bottom of the panorama.
