After staring at the cliffs for a while I decided to continue my stroll along the trail heading downstream along the Gardner River. After a short while the sound of rushing water was evident up ahead. It was certainly a fairly large waterfall or cascade as the sound grew quite loud as I approached. It turned out to be a beautiful cascade, tucked away in the woods, seldom discussed or visited. I have come to learn that there are many other similar cascades around the park.  All it takes is a short walk on some backcountry trails to see some of them.
