Parking Tips
A valuable tip on exiting Wolf Trap is to exit towards Route 7. If you are parked in the East lot ( the lot on the same side of Trap road as the Filene Center) you will make a right turn and if you are in West lot (the lot across the road from the Filene Center) you will make a left turn. A recent traffic and parking analysis study concluded that approximately 70% of Filene Center patrons come to the park via the Dulles Toll Road Route 267. If you arrive via this route, you may wish to exit the same way. Whichever way you are directed to exit the park, whether it is to the right or left, you can conveniently access the Dulles Toll Road. Both the eastbound and westbound on-ramps to the Dulles Toll Road are 1.5 miles on the right once you have made a right onto Route 7. The United States Park Police establish traffic patterns and provide direction to ease your way on to Trap Road. For the safe and expeditious flow of all vehicles, very little latitude is given for individual choice when exiting on to Trap Road. Please remember, whether you are directed north or south on Trap Road, you can get there from here. Public TransportationThe Wolf Trap Metro Shuttle Bus Express provides service to all Filene Center shows (except the International Children’s Festival). The Wolf Trap Metro Shuttle Bus Express leaves the West Falls Church Metrorail Station every 20 minutes starting two hours before each performance. The last Shuttle leaves the station at showtime. Round trip fare is just $5.00 per person (exact change required). The Shuttle Bus is wheelchair accessible. The Shuttle departs Wolf Trap 20 minutes after the performance ends, or 11:00 p.m. whichever comes first.
