The First International Conference on Issues Facing Women Affected by Leprosy was held in Seneca Falls, New York during the week of June 10, 2002. Sponsored by IDEA (International Association for Integration, Dignity & Economic Advancement), and co-sponsored by Women's Rights National Historical Park and Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site, the conference welcomed attendees from around the world who came to share in friendship and to visit the area's many sites associated with the women's rights movement.
