The
Finger Lakes Girls' Choir
The Finger
Lakes Girls' Choir was founded in February 2001 by Mary Kathryn Campbell,
choral director and music educator. The mission of the choir is threefold:
to foster a commitment to musical excellence, to enhance personal confidence
and esteem issues for young women, and to develop musicianship and performance
skills through the art of choral singing.
The choir is for girls
ages 10-16+ who reside in the Central Finger Lakes Region
of New York. There are no vocal auditions for acceptance, but the singers
are expected to make a responsible commitment and contribution to the
choir. As the
Girls' Choir does not require a tuition payment of its members, this not-for-profit
organization is supported by grants and donations. Rehearsals are held
in Seneca Falls on Sunday evenings.
