Red-Sided Garter Snake The red-sided garter snake (Thamnophis sirtalis) can be found near flowing water crawling through tall grass and decaying leaves. Their diet consists of toads, fish, tadpoles, and earthworms. To possibly see this snake take a hike along Beaver Creek or Highland Creek.
