Abstract

A butterfly study was conducted at Wind Cave National Park during the 2001 flight season to document species richness and relative abundance. A total of 51 butterfly species were reported during the survey. The Painted Lady was the most common butterfly observed. Species diversity was greatest in riparian areas along Beaver Creek and Cold Brook.
