Directions to Whitman Mission National Historic Site

• From Tri-Cities, Washington
• From Columbia River Gorge, Oregon
  
• From Pendleton / Milton-Freewater, Oregon
  
• From Lewiston, Idaho / Dayton and Walla Walla, Washington
  

• Take Interstate 182/Highway 12 EAST
• Seven miles west of Walla Walla, turn right on Swegle road (there will be brown park signs 3/4 mile before turnoff and at turnoff)
• Go over railroad tracks and first bridge (approximately 1/2 mile)
• Turn left on park entrance road almost immediately after bridge and park in parking area

• Exit Interstate 84 East at Highway 730 - Irrigon, OR / Walla Walla, WA
• Follow Highway 730 to junction of Highway 12
• Follow Highway 12 EAST towards Walla Walla (Highway 730 ends at the junction of Highway 12)
• Seven miles west of Walla Walla, turn right on Swegle road (there will be brown park signs 3/4 mile before turnoff and at turnoff)
• Go over railroad tracks and first bridge (approximately 1/2 mile)
• Turn left on park entrance road almost immediately after bridge and park in parking area

• Follow Highway 11 NORTH into Washington State
• Highway 11 becomes Highway 125 at the state line and 9th Avenue in Walla Walla
• Follow 9th Avenue until Rose Street (Taco Bell on corner)
• Turn left on Rose Street and go approximately 1 mile - past Blue Mountain Mall and past stoplight to Myra Road
• 1 block beyond the Myra Road stoplight, turn right on Wallula Road
• Stay on Wallula Road until end (junction with Highway 12)
• Turn left on Highway 12 (going WEST)
• Remain on Highway 12 almost 2 miles and turn left on Swegle Road (there will be brown park signs 1 mile before turnoff and at turnoff)
• Go over railroad tracks and first bridge (approximately 1/2 mile)
• Turn left on park entrance road almost immediately after bridge and park in parking area

• Get on Highway 12 West
• Remain on Highway 12 WEST through Walla Walla, Washington
• 7 miles west of Walla Walla, turn left on Swegle Road (there will be brown park signs 1 mile before turnoff and at turnoff)
• Go over railroad tracks and first bridge (approximately 1/2 mile)
• Turn left on park entrance road almost immediately after bridge and park in parking area
