The park is open year round. The Visitor Center is open daily except December 25.

Park hours:

November - April: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST May - October: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST

NOTE: Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings Time. We remain on Mountain Standard Time year round.

PETS: Pets must be kept on a leash at all times; they are not permitted in buildings or on park trails. Summer heat is intense; pets left in vehicles - even for a short time - can suffer heat stroke and die.

Nearest commercial airport is located in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Car
Leave I-40 at Exit 204, 7.5 miles (12 km) east of Flagstaff; drive south 3 miles (5 km) to the canyon rim. Warning: Tight turn around for towed vehicles; 40 feet (12 meters) maximum length advisory.
