(Flagstaff, AZ) –Superintendent Palma Wilson today announced that the three Flagstaff Area National Monuments (Wupatki, Sunset Crater Volcano, and Walnut Canyon) have received a donation of digital imaging equipment from Eastman Kodak Company, a Proud Partner of America’s National Parks. Through the National Park Foundation, the nation’s national parks were encouraged to apply to the Foundation, on a competitive basis, for Kodak equipment grants valued at up to $5,000.

“We are extremely pleased to receive this grant,” said Wilson. “For the first time, digital cameras will be readily available for use by our employees while they are out and about in the parks, where great pictures are just waiting to be taken. Our thanks to Kodak for the equipment, and to the National Park Foundation for making this happen.”

Included in the donation were Kodak Easyshare digital cameras, camera docks, memory cards, and 8-in-1 card readers.

“The donation of the photography equipment is part of Kodak’s commitment as a Proud Partner of America’s National Parks,” said David Kiser, Director and Vice President, Health, Safety, and Environment, Eastman Kodak Company. “Through products, people, and technology, Kodak is working closely with the National Park Foundation and the National Park Service to help provide innovative ways to increase public awareness of America’s 388 National Parks.”
