Science In Our Parks is a curriculum-based program for 4th through 6th grade teachers and their students. Students improve teamwork, reasoning, and critical thinking skills while doing research and monitoring in Wupatki, Sunset Crater Volcano, or Walnut Canyon National Monument. Teachers must first participate in an 8-hour workshop for which they can earn professional growth credit. Workshops are offered twice a year. Call the education coordinator at (928) 526-3367 to inquire about workshop dates or to schedule a field exploration.
