Summer Programs...

Join a park naturalist for an excursion into the park where you will learn about the natural and cultural history of Voyageurs National Park. Programs include guided canoe trips, evening programs, children's programs, guided walks and boat tours. Check with a visitor center to confirm available dates and times.

Boat tours aboard the Otter (pontoon boat) will depart from the Kabetogama Lake Visitor Center as listed below. People wishing to take a tour must obtain a voucher in advance. Rules for obtaining a voucher are provided below. Please call the park for additional information if you have any questions. Reservations may not be made by telephone.

Voyageurs National Park reminds visitors of three important points about the tour boat program.

Kabetogama Lake Visitor Center

Kettle Falls Day Cruise :
12 pm - 5:30 pm
August 14 - September 17 (Wednesday and Friday)
(Adult $30, child $20 (3 - 15 years old), ages 2 and under are free)
Voyage to historic Kettle Falls Hotel. After a pleasant 1.5 hour cruise, arrive with another 1.5 hours on land to dine at the hotel or enjoy a picnic lunch and explore the hotel and nearby dam before the return trip. Tour fees do NOT include meals.

Discovery Cruise :
August 14 - September 17 (Saturday)
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
(Adult $15, child $10 (ages 3-15 years old), ages 2 and under are free)
View Kabetogama Lake's islands and scenic bays by day. Observe loons, eagles and other park wildlife. Enjoy unique sculptures while exploring the winding paths during a half-hour stop at the Ellsworth Rock Gardens.
